Find that Creative Spark

It’s been almost 3 years since learning on my own; I’ve been fortunate enough to meet many people from different walks of life who have been kind enough to share their learnings throughout their careers. One common thing I noticed from the people I met who are leading successful careers is their root of business comes from what they are most passionate about and there’s a hint of excitement when it comes to their work. In simple words “They love their job” which made me think about this quote that I recently heard from Chris Do, an Emmy award-winning designer, Chief Strategist of Blind, and the founder of The Futur.

The quote goes something like this; “Don’t do a job that sucks all of your creativity, because you’ll have nothing left in your tank… Do something that doesn’t rob you of that creative spark.” He shared this during his exchange conversation with Vin Giang in a recent Podcast from the Futur’s YouTube channel. I couldn’t agree more when he said this. I was even smiling thinking about where I am in this season of my life.

I continue to do my best to study and gather enough experience to help me reach my dream job of working with the best directors and creatives in the industry. This quote reminded me that every day leads me closer to that dream and since it’s a job that I know will require that “creative spark” it excites me even more to do my best to reach it!
