“You’re the big boss of your company now!” Mr. Hilaro says, and in chapter four of Virtual Careers, he takes the reader in his driver seat. Where does he take the reader by any chance? On a shopping spree and that for sure would make anyone feel like Christmas is near!

If you decide to take on a virtual career, Mr. Hilaro shares the basic essentials you would need to get you started. Those essentials are a good laptop, internet, workstation, etc. He shares details on the best equipment, brands and basically setting up your dream station. Why buy the best equipment? “because you deserve it and it’s for your work!” He says, and I agree.

When I started studying on my own I began thinking ahead of the equipment I would need when clients start requesting for projects too! So I began saving up and researching on the best laptop, monitor, keyboard, mouse and software to use for work. These things are going to be helping you bring in your income, so spending a few bucks knowing that these equipment will help you make work easier is essential. Not going to lie, but it does make it feel like Christmas is here once you get it and start opening it!

When it came to picking the laptop I use for editing videos, pictures and writing, I went for a MacBook Pro. Before I bought it, I took note of the things I would be using it for and if the laptop could carry the work I would do. I like that Mr. Hilaro added his suggested equipment, but I also suggest that while taking into consideration his input, don’t forget to research too, after all it’s your money and you want to give yourself the best equipment that would help you.
